Chuck Dozier

Chuck Dozier is a native of Conway, South Carolina, where he attended and graduated from Chestnut High School in North Myrtle Beach, SC. After Graduation he attended Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. He played football for Marshall in 1968 and 1969 on their freshman team, which went undefeated. His life took a tragic turn in 1970 when he lost dozens of his close friends in a plane crash that claimed the lives of nearly the entire Marshall University football team, coaching staff and prominent members of the Huntington Community.

He went on to join A large oil company, where he worked for more than 18 years. With the private label division of the company Chuck achieved the rank of Division Manager. His final area of responsibility with that company was the West Coast Division based in the San Francisco, Bay Area.

These days Chuck’s passion is writing. He has become a successful author, having written six books, one was published in 2013; “The Second Time Around”. His second book, “Bouncing Back Up”, is a sequel to this gripping love story and was published in 2016. Now the third book is available: “Keeping A Good Man Down”, published in 2018. He has been writing for over 20 years. Drawing on his personal experiences and travels across the globe, he is currently working on more than two dozen manuscripts, fiction and non-fiction, which are in various stages of completion.

His travels have taken him to all fifty states in the US and more than two dozen foreign countries across 6 continents. The many personal experiences during his travels have become the catalysts for a number of the stories that he has produced.

He is an avid golfer, but also enjoys hiking, gardening, fishing and traveling. He is still based in the Carolina’s but spends much of his time traveling around the country and across the globe as opportunities present themselves.
